If you are like me then finding the time & energy to do the food shop with 2 kids is difficult – food shopping with sprogs is not fun, I have to mentally prepare myself for the long slog up & down the aisles, armed with snacks, toys & various other bribes I can pull out every 5 minutes!

When Hello Fresh got in touch to see if we wanted to try out a family food box we jumped at the chance, having never tried a food delivery box before, we were intrigued to firstly see how it all worked & see what was in the box when it arrived, I’m not going to lie, it felt a little like Christmas!

Firstly you choose your box, there are 3 different box types to choose from, the classic box –  packed with beautifully fresh produce and exciting new recipes, the family box comes with special recipes that kids and adults will adore & the veggie box – bursting with tasty new ingredients and adventurous recipes that will make your taste buds sing. Obviously we are a family, therefore opted for the family box!

The you choose a delivery time & day that suits you – the box arrives insulates with ice packs & everything was super chilled when it got to us, all items are packed in their own set meal bags which makes it super easy as the bags are colour coded to the recipes – we just left all the veg in the original bags inside our fridge to make it even easier when finding ingredients for meals.

I was really impressed, Lee enjoyed following along the recipe card & said it was super convenient not having to measure and faff around as all ingredients are pre measured and labelled to make the cooking really enjoyable.

Watch the video below to see how Lee got on prepping everything & see the finished result!

I also have a promo code if you guys fancy trying out your own Hello Fresh box – the code HELLOMELDRUM will give you £25 off or you can click here which will take you there for a look & automatically apply it for you.

This post is sponsored by HelloFresh however all thoughts are my own.
